So, I’ll tell you a bit more about me.
As mentioned in the Intro page, my name is Mark. And for more than an decade(!) I’ve been helping job seekers, just like you, tell their Career Stories.
It’s funny, I didn’t even realize that helping people tell their career stories was what I was doing.
See, I started out the HR field. I was on a path to becoming an HR Manager, Director, and maybe even a VP one day. But, in a strange twist of fate, I ended up in recruiting.
It was in recruiting, reviewing literally thousands of resumes and searching for people on LinkedIn, that I realized: Many people have amazing skills and experience, but very few know how to showcase that.
I distinctly remember picking up the phone one day, on a ‘less than adequate’ resume to ‘give the person a chance’. Low and behold, in answering a few of my more ‘creative’ questions, the candidate was actually very well qualified! I realized right then and there that something needed to be done about this.
Fast forward about a year, and I started a passion project to help students and recent graduates better showcase their skills and find more job opportunities on the “Hidden Job Market”. And I enjoyed it so much that I started doing it full-time!
Sprinkle in a couple more stints as a recruiter to keep my industry-knowledge relevant, and more recently taking on a role where I helped professionals start their careers in highly-coveted positions, and that brings us to today where I now want to help you with further showcasing your skills to land that dream job.
